Where Is Fahd Characters: Every Confirmed Character and Their Role

Who's who in Where Is Fahd: Fahd and the people searching for him, the masked kidnappers, the Big Man and Meshal, the whistling man's true identity, and the Part 2 hospital monster.

Where Is Fahd centers on eight-year-old Fahd, who vanishes one night from his family's yard in a Gulf neighborhood, and the small cast his two-day disappearance pulls together: a desperate father, a best friend who can't help, a childhood friend back after two months away, his father unseen for 20 years, a desert guard who never stopped watching — and the masked men holding the boy for a million-riyal ransom. The official description casts you as “his last hope” in a 12-part story adventure, so knowing who is who — and which side each figure is really on — is half the mystery.

Heads-up: this page names Part 1's reveals, including the masked whistling man's true identity.

Quick answer

The confirmed Where Is Fahd cast splits into the searchers — Fahd, his father Saad (Abu Fahd), Abdullah, Nasser, Abu Nasser, Abu Suleiman and the masked whistling man Salem (Sultan) — and the threat: the masked kidnappers, the Big Man (the Boss) and his man Meshal. A hospital monster is also confirmed for Part 2 through its game pass.

  • Fahd, 8, vanishes from the family yard at night; his father has two days to find him.
  • Abdullah unknowingly fed the kidnappers information after Nasser paid for his son's surgery.
  • The masked men hold Fahd at the old man's farm for a million-riyal ransom, then move him to the Boss's mansion.
  • Salem, lost 20 years ago, is the masked whistling man — and he hides Fahd in the well to keep him from the Boss.

Fahd is the title's missing boy, taken from the courtyard after sunset while his father called him in for dinner. His father, Saad — known to everyone as Abu Fahd — opens the story weeping at his front door and leads the search himself, swearing he would sell his kidney or the house to pay the ransom. But the house can't fetch a million riyals in two days, and when a private number addresses him as “Saad” — a name only one person used like that, 20 years earlier — the kidnapping becomes the key to a much older secret.

Abdullah, the friend who couldn't refuse a stranger

Saad's dearest friend since school days, Abdullah, runs the grocery store at the end of the neighborhood. He has nothing to give: his own son was sick, and he is in debt up to his ears. Searching the closed store through its back door uncovers the twist — two months earlier, a stranger paid for that son's surgery in exchange for a “small favor”: reports on when Abu Fahd goes out and where Fahd goes. The stranger said his name was Nasser, which makes Abdullah an unwitting informant for the kidnappers rather than a traitor.

Nasser and Abu Nasser, the family that came back

Nasser is the third of the three inseparable childhood friends — Saad, Abdullah and Nasser — and the older brother of Salem, who vanished 20 years ago. Nasser returned to the neighborhood after two months away and initially engineered Fahd's kidnapping to force the truth about his brother into the open: he went to the Big Man wanting men, a car and the truth, with the million as the Boss's price. When the Boss took the boy behind his back, Nasser switched sides and joined the rescue. His father, Abu Nasser, unseen for 20 years, has a light burning in the old family house again the week Fahd disappears — and he is the one who finally reveals what really happened to Salem.

Abu Suleiman, the guard of the night it happened

Abu Suleiman guarded the “old man's farm” on the winter night Salem disappeared, and he has lit a fire every night since for the lost. He saw the kidnappers' black car pass, and at night he is the only person who knows the way to the old station — which makes him the searchers' guide once the trail leads into the desert.

The masked whistling man

One masked figure stands apart from the kidnappers: a man who appears at night whistling the tune from Salem's old tape. The late Part 1 reveal ties both mysteries together — Salem did not die in the well. Bedouins found him lost in the desert, and the orphanage named him Sultan because he couldn't say his own name. The whistling masked man is Salem himself: the same figure who quietly opens the gate for the group, and who later hides Fahd in the well to keep him from the Boss.
